Nepal is a beautiful mountainous country in Asia, known for it's tradtion, culture and trekking possiblities such as climbing Mount Everest. However, it is also one of the poorest and least developped  countries in the world, with more than 25% of the population living on less than a doller a day. Currently on the United Nations list of Least Developed Countries and with a GDP per capita of $694, they have a high prevelence of malnutrition (81% of children), high unemployment (40%) and lack of healthcare. On top of this, on April 25th, 2015 Nepal experienced a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake which killed thousands and destroyed infastructure and heritage sites. The point of this project therefore is to try to come up with solutions to not just help the Nepelese people recover from the earthquake but also to come with long term economic policies that can be implemented to help the country develop.
